My Baby Pic

Me, when I was a baby... (cute ko noh?) hehe

My Dream Car

Oh my God! I found my new dream car! Toyota RAV4, hahaha. Everytime I saw this car on the road, I just can't stop looking at it, it's so beautiful. I can imagine myself driving this car in the future! I always wanted a white SUV since I was young. My husband supposed to get the CRV for me -- (my dream car before) but we decided to buy the Toyota Prius, because of the good mileage. It was really a smart choice... Who knows in the year to come, toyota will also make a RAV4 that can save gas just like Prius. I know, I am dreaming again... I always dream -- and I think it's okay, right? hehehe...

And this is my husband's dream truck, Toyota Tacoma!

Mexican Food for Dinner

Mexican food is one of my husband's favorite. He's been craving for mexican food since yesterday. So we went to a mexican restaurant near our apartment. Now, he's full, satisfied and happy! :)
Tortilla
Beef Steak, Rice, Enchilada, Taco, Burrito with sour cream (John's plate)
Enchilada and Taco (my plate)

Jollibee at Union City

I asked my husband to take me to Jollibee here in California because I miss the chicken joy. The place is only 20 minutes drive from my in-laws house. Today, after we attended the mass, we went straight to Jollibee. When we got there, I have this feeling like I am home again. All the people inside were pinoy! It's just like I am in Philippines eating in Jollibee, hahaha! I ordered chicken joy, palabok, rice and pepsi for me and chicken joy and spaghetti for John...

Craving for KFC

Here we go! yummy, yummy KFC!!! :)

Got a New Sandals

I went out to Kmart with my husband to get an eyelash curler because the rubber of my old lash curler is already broken. I didn't have plans of getting anything aside from the said lash curler but I found this sandals on sale. Usually $16.99 and I just have to pay $12.99, a pretty good deal. So, I end up buying this sandals that fits me so well. It's a summer time, I can wear sandals now. I've been wearing close shoes for a while then I think it's time to wear this high heels black toscana sandals and show my feet out there, hahaha!

Sunblock Spray

Sunblock is advisable when you are expose to the sun to protect your skin from damage. I'd been using neutrogena sunblock but not this new one. I don't like the feeling when the sunblock is so greasy to my skin but this new Neutrogena with SPF 70 is different. The first time I tried it on to my skin it's a "wow" not only it's a non-greasy, waterproof but also the cooling effect is so refreshing. I also love the scent, smells so good!

Package 1 Received

Finally received my package from Philippines today. Got everything I asked for my brother to send me which are the Godiva products, clindamycin astringents and capsules, safeguard deodorant and also his wedding video. I'm so excited to use the product for my zits. This will be the last trial for me and if it doesn't work, I should go to a dermatologist. I can't stand it anymore, the pimples is getting crazier! :(

Picture below was taken today at 2 pm going to my in-laws house...

Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Michael Jackson died yesterday at 2:26 in the afternoon. People were shocked and saddened including me and my husband. My husband had a lot of memories with his friends through Michael Jacksons music the "thriller". What can I say? Life is too short! We should live our life to the fullest. Michael, may your soul rest in peace. You remain a legend -- your music will live forever!

Michael Jackson didn't enjoy his childhood days. Here's the proof of his writing titled: "My Childhood, My Sabbath, My Freedom", "What I wanted more than anything was to be ordinary. The Sabbath was when I could be." To read this please go to the website: http://www.beliefnet.com/Faiths/2000/12/My-Childhood-My-Sabbath-My-Freedom.aspx.

Salad is Good for You

This is what I eat for lunch today, salad that I prepared and the thai sauce we bought from Bangkok 101 restaurant. I usually use 2 tablespoon of the sauce for my salad. It is very spicy but I can deal with it. I already have prepared all the veggies needed and put it in the refregerator so it's all ready to eat when we feel like eating salad. Easy, fast, healthy and yummy!

Stupid Love

I was chatting online with my 2 good friends yesterday. The other one in the afternoon and the other one at night. What a coincidence that both of them really wanted to talk to me badly at the same day. They were both my suitors before who were so madly, deeply inlove with me... Yay! how lucky I am to still become their good friend inspite of what I did to them - yes, hurting them and broke their heart into pieces, making them cry. Well, I was forgiven and I'm happy for that! I have a very good relationship with them before I got married until now. The respect is always there. There are lots of things happening and believe it or not things changed. But I still can't believe why the f**ck are they still loving me in a speacial way? In a way that is willing to wait. There is no chance at all! I am married, period! Does true love really exist in their heart? Well, I'm not complaining, love is God's gift. But sometimes, I don't want to believe what they were saying but my husband convinced me to believe them because of his stupid-love-experienced before when he was young and he said, it sucks! I am very open to my husband, we both are and we don't have nothing to worry about the third party even if both of us understand that it is scary to be tempted. We both trust each other. It is true, eventhough you are married, there are still a lot of temptations to be awared of. It is all up to us how to manage them and our life in general. Thanks for the love my friends. With God helping me through resisting these temptaitions I will prevail.

Do I Take Food Supplements?

Yes, I do! As what my mother told me "health is wealth" and it is so true. When we get sick, we are not able to work, make money, do what we want to do and most of all enjoy life! So, better take care of ourselves in the most special way as we can.
I know that I can't get all the vitamins needed for my body from the food I eat everyday, thus taking nutritional supplements is important to me. I take 7 pills everyday -- Vit. A, Vit. B-complex, Vit. C, Vit. D. Vit. E, Calcium citrate and I add Ginkgo for my brain. Inorder for me not to forget, I have this medicine box for the whole week which will help remind me if I did take it already or not. Yes! very useful.
How about you? Do you take food supplements? Ask most doctors these days what is their opinion of food supplements. The most prevalent answer is: "All you need is a good multi-vitamin and a good anti-oxidant." And you are good to go. :)

My Favorite Bottle

I went out shopping with my husband at his favorite store where you can find anything useful for recreational purposes. I found this Nalgene bottle that has a label "Life is good" which catched my eyes. Well, not only that but also the flower thing on it plus the color orange, I love it! It is also BPA free which means it is free from the harmful chemical bisphenol A that is usually found in the plastic. So, I decided to buy it. Now, I am using it everyday. I honestly don't like drinking lots of water but having this bottle force me to get an intake of 1L of water a day.

My Niece

Serious!
Happy baby!
Sleeping -- Zzzzzz..

My niece Claira Mae with a caucasian dad and filipina mom. She was born on March 27th, 2009. She's almost three months now. Soo cute and adorable. I consider her an angel to our family. She serves as a surfactant between me and my sister. Sometimes, my relationship to my sister is not so great. It's a long story to tell. I am just happy that through this baby I have a very good relationship with her now.

Saving my money

I started to save money after I paid off my credit card debts in Philippines. What a nice feeling to be debt-free. Thank God! :-)
I was checking my savings account last week and because of not having a job for a while so I was thinking of some ways where to get money aside from my income in the aparment family business in Philippines inorder for my savings to grow. -- I talked to my husband and asked him for an allowance every month because I used to have income every month from work when I was working in Philippines but now that I am unemployed here, I don't have a paycheck monthly. He also understand my part so he ask me how much I want. I smiled and said, "I want $200 a month". I was waiting for his reaction -- then he laughed and said, "okay, not bad". Hahaha, I was laughing and told him that it is a Filipino rate not an american rate that is why it's not too big for him. I am so excited to transfer $100 from our joint account to my personal savings account every 15th and 30th of the month after he receives his paycheck from work. Yay! Problem solved! :)

Guess who visited me today?

This pic was taken 2 years ago with my uncle Bert at International airport, San Francisco when I first step foot in California.

My father's brother uncle Bert and her wife auntie Ester and other aunties visited me today. They came from Reno and since they can pass our place going home to San Jose, they'd decided to visit me to drop their favorite fried rice for me that they bought from Reno. Here's the yummy fried rice, very true, it is good! John said, "the fried rice hit the spot!" Thanks uncle.

Uncle Bert still keep asking me about my plan. Anyways, it's all about to be a pharmacist here in the states. Everytime I talk to him, he always ask me something related to pharmacy stuff that I am trying to pursue in this country. He told me that he just met a friend who is working with pharmacist and now there is a big demand of pharmacist in the states even in this tough times. Okay -- okay, I already know that! --- And yes, I also know that he is just trying to tell me to keep on moving and never give up! He told me, "someday you will get there if you just keep on trying and even if you fail the test don't stop taking it again, it doesn't matter how many times you have to take the test". Wow! he sounds like my husband now, hahaha! Well, I know and actually that is already in the plan just before I came here in the U.S., I know that it is tough but it is what I've been dreaming to become, big time! hahaha! You know what? He was already preparing his pig for lechon (he make lechon for business) when I pass the exam, hahaha! That supposed to be last Dec. 08 but unfortunately, I failed the test on the first try :(... It's okay there's always next time. Better luck next time baby... Now he asked me how many lechon I want when I pass this time, - 1 or 2? because he can give me two if I want! I said, "nah! one is enough". I really do love my uncle, he is just like my dad but sometimes he stressed me out especially when he ask me about work? Hmm, he is just concern, that's why! Okay, I totally understand.

Red Lipstick

I bought another covergirl red lipstick for $4.96 at walmart because my first one is almost out. My mom-in-law gave me the first one last summer of 2007 and also herself used this. This is my favorite lipstick that I always used wherever I go. I can't go out without wearing it and I'm not used to wear those pale type of lipstick, red is sexy for me, hehehe. I always have to bring this in my bag.

Potting Soil

I started to buy plants when I decided to make my own small garden inside our apartment. All I have is indoor plants of course, hehehe. I mostly buy plants in the dollar store where 1 plant only cost me $1. Because they are so small, I have to transfer them to a big pot and thus soil is needed. I found this soil, an all purpose potting mix, perfect for both indoor and outdoor plants and enriched with plant food at walmart for $6.97. It is expensive, isn't it? I remember in Philippines I used to make my own garden but I only got the soil from the area outside our house. Maybe, the kind of the soil I had didn't have a nutrients and wasn't very good for the plant but at least it is all for free. Here in america is different, I have to buy everything I need. I hope that my plants will grow so fast and healthy for this kind of soil, hahaha! :)

Mascara

I've been searching for a mascara for a while which won't smear after I wear on my eyelashes. I'd tried maybelline and physician's brand and I used them though it smeared on my skin. I don't want to keep on buying mascara because I don't want to waste my money for just the testing process. I'm glad now that I've finally found it - the one I like! Inroducing -- Covergirl lash blast for only $6.78 at walmart. It adds volume, length, easy to clean and I love it!
with mascara on

Do I recommend Covergirl lashblast? Yes!

Managing your Money

My husband and I want to know how we spend our money because we want to use our money wisely and for that could save more. Inorder to track down everything we spent, I was making a list when we buy something in the store like groceries, clothes, gasoline, gifts or when we eat out and etc. When he saw me making a lists on the paper one by one, he told me that he's going to buy the microsoft to put everything together and for convenient purposes. So, he bought Quicken Deluxe 2009 http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance/deluxe-money-management.jsp in Costco early this year. I downloaded it into my computer and when I was figuring out how it's going to work and started to learn more about the software, it amazed me, I was enjoying playing with my money, very organized. You just put your accounts, bills, debts, properties, and etc. You will see where your money's going, so you can see what's left over for you at the end of the month. To learn more about this, please go to the website http://quicken.intuit.com/.

Do I recommend Quicken? Yes!

Be Thankful

Sometimes, I cought myself worried about the things that has not yet happened in my life. I am a kind of a person who wants everything to be planned. I also have many dreams in life that I want to reach them someday. I couldn't control myself to think some negative thoughts about my dreams. Many questions to be answered. Can I make it? What if not? Is this the right choice? Is this the right one for me? What if I am wrong? and etc. Honestly, I am tired of the stress that I'm carrying, I want to change my thought to positive. So, here are some words which I think may help.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a effort.
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those
who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

Road Bike

Giant Bicycle

My husband just got a new road bike today, yeey! He was debating to get the bike for a long, long, long time because he has to save his money especially for this very bad economy nowadays. Speaking of long time, that was before he met me, he has to hold on because he was planning to buy a new car. I saw him many times in front of his computer always viewing his dream bike. Poor guy! Then, I told him that it's more better to go to the store and try it himself how does it feels like driving the bike than just looking at it in the picture. So he did and he really fell in love with the bike even more. That is why he finally decided to buy the bike he really like (wheels and break are upgraded) and it cost him $2,600 -boo-. It is a big purchase but he deserved it, he work so hard and this is the fruit of his labor, make him so happy and excited to use it as soon as possible. Now, he is shopping online for his bike shoes, helmet and etc. hahahaha! Omg! this is a very expensive hobby but I'm cool with that because aside from knowing that this is really what he wanted for a long time, it is also good for his health. The next one he want's to get is a mountain bike. Whoa! Is that too much? We have to wait for a loooong time to buy it when we have enough money in the savings and when I start working, we'll see.

Thai Salad

My parents-in-laws treated me at this Bangkok 101 thai restaurant on my 29th birthday because they know that thai is my favorite food. When I tried the salad, I really loved it though it's too spicy. My husband also love it so much that he was sweating out of his sh*t, hahaha! One serving is $18. I think it is expensive but it is so damn good. I know it is because of the sauce that they used.
One day, my husband went back to the restaurant alone and tried to ask if he can only buy the sauce and yes he can. My husband surprised me this when he came home with the salad for me and a sauce and I was happy, yeeey! They charged $8 for the sauce. Not too bad, (we're able to used the sauce for 2 weeks) now we can save money by doing this. We can make our own salad using the thai sauce and it's always been very good. We just bought another one (2nd sauce) today!!!

Long Distance Call

I was talking to my brother and sister last night from the Philippines using MajicJack. It's been 2 years that I didn't talk to my sister on the phone since I came here in the U.S. So, when we finally talk, wow! I have to catch up everything that was happening when I wasn't there with them. She told me a lot of things like what happend to my uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces (mother and father side) and I was enjoying knowing something new about them. They called me around 12 am pacific time and I didn't want to hang up the phone so it ended up I was on the line until 6 am and feel dizzy, (no sleep) hahaha. I slept in the morning after we said goodbye and we'll talk next time, zzzzzzzz!
How does MagicJack work? Here's the website http://www.magicjack.com/7/index.asp to explain everything you need to know. As what it says you can call the country around the U.S. and Canada. So, how did my brother was able to use this MajicJack in the Philippines? He registered his number using my land line number here in California and that's it, he got a new number from MajicJack with the area number here in the city where I live in the U.S. You only have to pay $19.95 for 1 year. This is the cheapest deal I got and I like it! :)
Do I recommend MajicJack? YES, for sure.

Oakland Rose Garden

(first visit - summer 2008)

I love flowers so much! I've always been waiting for the summer to come so I could visit this beautiful Rose Garden in Oakland, California again. Finally, here we go summer 2009. My husband took me here last year and I just fall in love with this garden. The place is very beautiful where you can find a variety of Rose species in the area. It is a good place also where you can bring your love ones, read your favorite books and just spend time with family or friends and enjoy the moments. A lot of "just married" couple come here to take pictures with the bride's beautiful wedding gown and groom's tuxedo on. Some artists also come here to draw something beautiful. This is really a place where I want to see which make me happy!!! :) I'm surely gonna visit there next year! :)

Godiva

I am patiently waiting for my package from Philippines. I can't wait to use the product which I'd been using for my skin before. Wasn't able to use this for 2 years now since I came here in California. I think that is why I got a lot of big pimples on my face. At first, I was just assuming that it was because of the cold weather here in the states that my skin has to adjust. I've been suffering my pimples for a while. I already used Proactive but it didn't work for me. So, I went to my doctor and she prescribe me a synthetic medicine for my acne the erythromycin 500 mg to be taken OD with benzoyl peroxide wash (still using the proactive) and Neutrogena On-the-Spot acne treatment. Yeah, it works but I decided to stop taking the oral medicine because of the side effects. Guess what happend? My pimples went out like crazy that I really hate looking at my my face on the mirror. The pimples at my back went out again! It's so ugly! Boo!... :( Got to do something for this. For now I am using Ponds wash, Yogurt plain every night, Proactive wash and Neutrogena On-the-Spot for my face. Hoping it helps control my pimples but I still have them. :(

When I was 25 years old, I remember I got lots of pimples on my face and one of my co-worker told me about this product GODIVA. She has been using it for many years already and she loved it. So I think, why won't I give it a try and see it for myself? For how many weeks of using Godiva, I was amazed by the result because it really clear up my skin. My co-workers even ask me what happend to the pimples? GONE! hahaha... Then now that reminds me of what happend to my face before made me want to use this product again, who knows it will give wonders to my skin again. Moreover, will make me happy and give my confidence back that I've lost. Wish me luck! I will give an entry for the result of this product when I see a result.

Proposal

(The ring he gave me on his proposal)

I wrote this on my friendster blog before when I was still single. I just copy it from there and paste it here...

Wow! What can I say? I am engaged!!!:) On June 14th, 2006 at 12:30 A. M. at Shangri La Beach Resort, the night with a nice moon above and with an overlooking, beautiful ocean, a white sand beach beside the place & with a rose petals on the ground where John proposed me… A very romantic place that I will never forget… It surprised me a lot when he said to close my eyes and when I open it he knelt down his knee and said, " Peachie, will you marry me?" My God! I can’t explain the feelings inside my heart, just like wanting to cry but I just hold it inside…:) And I said, “YES!" with no doubts!!! And he took the white gold ring with a sparkling diamond on it and wore it to my finger… Ohhh, I am sooo lucky to finally found this man who is the love of my life!!! He is sooo sweet… He completes me… I love you honey… I am very happy that my path leads me to this man, so, I think I believe in destiny… There is someone out there who is a perfect match to every one of us in this planet earth… But we have to wait for the right time… It will come… Believe me… It’s true!!!

This is the place where he proposed (with the arrow). See the date on the picture? Yes! that picture was taken in the morning after my husband proposed to me... We had a lot of fun at that beautiful place, Shangrila, Philippines...

Diamond is Forever

I was watching tv today where people try to sell jewelries and put the price down. Then I realized, I was sitting there for about 45 minutes, wow! I enjoyed the show! It even came out from my mind to call the number on the screen and give my credit card number and get the one I like. Yes! I know, I'm just dreaming because I know that I can't afford it. I don't have money for my wants now. I really love DIAMONDS! Sparkling diamond... That is my weakness when it comes to jewelries. I started to have a real diamond ring when I was in college and for me to get it was I had to ask and force my mom to get it for me. It was a small engagement ring though. It doesn't matter to me as long as there is a small diamond on it. I was happy when my mom finally bought it for me. I also bought a lot of jewelries before with diamonds (earrings, rings, bracelets, neclaces) but the diamonds were fake! hahaha... It didn't bother me at all because that was the only one I can afford at that time.

(not the one he gave me on the day he proposed to me) ->

My second diamond was when my husband proposed to me to marry him! wow! I was so happy at that time not just because of the diamond but because of the proposal which I didn't expect it would be so very romantic and that was unforgettable. I will post the story of his proposal on my next entry.

When I got married, my husband bought me a very nice rings at http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds/. I was even the one who picked the ring I want and that made me so happy! Of course since I love diamonds, what can you expect? I got the ring with lots of diamond around it! hahaha... The engagement ring (Ideal cut, H color, VS1 clarity, round diamond in 18k platinum worth $7k something) and the eternity ring (H color, 2ct diamond in 18k Platinum Eternity Band worth $3k). Really love it a lot, a lot!!! Never thought would have these rings in my finger... Thank you myluv (with hugs & kisses)! :)

(now, it is in my finger) happy!!! :)
